Tea Tree Oil – One of the Best Anti-Oxidants
Written on April 19, 2009 by Reuben
Tea tree oil has long been regarded and revered for it’s healing abilities and with good reason. Analyzing an extract from the plant yields surprising anti-oxidants and anti-bacterial components making it ideal for use in skin care creams and other products. Anti-oxidants work by protecting the body’s cells from the many free radicals that is present almost everywhere, which is responsible for the early and premature death of cells. These cells cause aging leaving skin ugly and dry looking, then comes the tea tree extract rich cream or other product that kills bacteria, cleanses the skin and leaves a protective barrier against the elements, pollution and many other hazards present in the environment.
many of nature’s wonder cures come from plants that have evolved defensed against mother nature’s own denizens. Trees react to pest infestation by releasing high levels of tannin and other chemicals into their many parts allowing them to stem attack. They synthesize nutrients absorbed by their roots through photosynthesis that turns nutrients and water into starch, the food of the tree that allows it to survive. In the process they have also evolved defenses that are now being studied as one of the best anti-aging and antibacterial substances in the world that has long been under our noses for us to use and understand.
