Skin Melanomas, if left untreated can spread and worse infect underlying tissue and cause irreparable damage to the human organs. Early detection and treatment is the only solution so people have to be aware of signs to look for when dealing with this health risk. Reddened itchy skin with sores that do not go away, tenderness of a particular area of skin that is usually exposed to the sun, all these symptoms can be signs of some skin problem and worse a skin melanoma. The condition is curable but as said early detection is the key.

Naaah….. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder for we are the ones who define what is beautiful and what is not. But skin can be used to asses one’s health for any problems internally manifests itself on your skin. Red healthy skin is a sure sign of good physical build-up. Burned skin is a sign of too much exposure to the sun thus there may be a higher risk of skin cancer and other health problems. Scaly skin, and that person may lack some essential vitamins and minerals in his/her diet that might need adjustment. Calloused skin may result from excessive wear and tear on that particular part of the body which may be due to occupational hazards allowing better protection in the afflicted area and many more. So skin is not only a sign of sure beauty but a mirror of who we are and how healthy we are on the inside.

We’ve all heard of the natural healing of plants and other naturally occurring minerals and elements. Coconut oil has long been used as a moisturizer by many a seafaring cultures and it is also good insect bite treatment. Many such extracts have been discovered and integrated in the many skin care products we use today. People have begun to realize the importance of using natural stuff where else from nature. That is why habitat protection of our remaining rain forests is vital for all plants have stuff in them that can help us in one way of the other. Burn them, destroy them and we loose the ability to discover otherwise life-saving derivatives that really work.

Beta-hydroxy Acid, Hydroquinone, Kojic Acid, Retinol
Beta-hydroxy Acid is more commonly known as salicylic acid, it has been used to treat extreme UV exposure from the sun’s harmful UV rays. It promotes exfoliation and improves overall texture and it has the good ability to penetrate oil-laden hair follicles reducing acne. This is very irritating for sensitive skin so consultations should be done with a dermatologist so it should be treated same as alpha hydroxy acids.

The active ingredients in the juice is a perfect exfoliant and is a natural skin smoother that takes away the dead cells to promote the growth of new cells. It also works well on your lips where if applied at night, you’ll have luscious lips that have been exfoliated if you do not mind the sour taste on your lips that is. It can be found ion the whole spectrum of skin and body care products and is also widely used as a scent in perfumes and in air fresheners. Makes a great refreshing wash after handling smelly stuff, it not only washes away the odor but it also removes dead skin cells from your hands leaving them clean and bright.

This type of skin aging is more associated with environmental factors such as pollution which can not only irritate skin but cause it to age prematurely. Extended exposure to the sun is one way to assure hasty skin aging. It can also cause the nasty condition we all know as sunburn, a bit longer and you may even get skin cancer. Pollutants in the air can also cause cells on the skin to die as well as artificial pollution such as work-related exposure to toxic chemicals such as ozone, a by product of laser printers and photocopiers. There are even some chemicals in laboratories and factories that not only harms the skin but internal organs, with some so toxic they can irritate the skin in minute amounts.
There are a lot of creams and lotions that contain ample amounts of anti-oxidants that blocks anti-oxidants and don’t forget your sunblock or better yet, select skin care products that have built-in sun protection. These cosmetics come as effective and cost effective alternatives to get your skin looking good all over and best of all you get too look younger without any drastic changes to your lifestyle.

Though all of us are going to age at some time in our adult life, it is part of the process but you can maintain younger looking skin with a proper balance of foods rich in anti-oxidants such as berries and other identified super foods. These foods contain active compounds that counteracts the damage caused by free radicals, or compounds which causes premature aging in cells eventually leading to death. There are also some genetic problems that does hasten such aging that causes cell sof the body to die prematurely. But overall, we will all age as stated, but healthy diet and a healthy lifestyle will indeed prolong our lives and our skin’s health, well into old age.
