Some Skinny Facts

One sign of a healthy lifestyle is that when you have radiant or nice skin. Aside from genetics, a healthy person inside would reflect on the outside, and usually we see it on the skin. So, here are some facts about the skin. These skinny facts were taken from the book The Seven Pillars of Health by Don Colbert, MD.

Skin…

• Is the largest organ of the body and weighs about six pounds.
• Grows faster than any other organ.
• Is tough, flexible, and waterproof.
• Stores water, fat, and vitamin D.
• Protects the body from germs, heat, cold and sunlight.
• Is replaced approximately every thirty days.
