alphahydroxy.jpgAlpha-hydroxy Acids (Citric, glycolic, lactic and tartaric Acids) have been in over the counter products for a couple of years and works best in reducing fine lines, evens out irregular pigmentation, reduce large pores and decrease the prominence of age spots. Using it too heavy or for sensitive skinned people could result in sensitivity to the sun and mild irritation. It is also advised to be used in gradual intervals say at every two day intervals, then moving to daily applications to build up tolerance and allow time for any allergies to manifest itself. Any irritations or tenderness should have you stop using all products to reduce the effects and a dermatologist should be consulted.
